My journey so far

Hadley Johnson is a 20-year-old indie pop/folk singer-songwriter from Cape Elizabeth, Maine. She grew up playing a medley of instruments and began writing songs at 13. Since then, she has performed at many venues throughout Portland and Boston. 

She is inspired by artists including Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Sara Bareilles, Lizzy McAlpine, Amy Allen, and Noah Kahan. In January 2026, she released her debut EP, “The Idea of Me,” which tells stories of young love and loss, and includes themes of coming-of-age and moving on. 

Throughout her music, Hadley prioritizes sharing authentic stories through heartfelt lyrics and intimate arrangements. In doing so, she encourages listeners to explore their own vulnerability, and take comfort in knowing they aren't alone.
